Read MorePrimavera P6 is a globally recognised one the most effective tool to plan, manage and execute civil engineering projects. But getting training of Primavera doesn’t come for free, most of the time. That’s why we develop our courses for a very nominal fee, yes you heard it right. It's only $5.00 if you are our subscribed member and you will not only get access to Primavera Course but also to all our courses that shows a $0 fee. Primavera P6 can sometimes be a complex tool to understand if your basics of using the tool are not clear. That’s why we develop our Primavera Basic Course for you to clearly explain step by step process to develop a project program. We use real-world civil engineering project examples and develop the program so you can easily grasp it and correlate it with your real-world projects. And you can view them as many times as you want. In the first module, students will learn about the following topics -Launching Primavera P6, start-up window, drop-down menus, toolbars, sidebars, option settings, etc. Please click to see the Preview of the Course. The second module provides details of Enterprise Project Systems (EPS). Primavera is a cloud-based Project Planning tool and it saves the projects program of the enterprise in EPS. So, it's very important for students to know how to operate EPS and how to create a new EPS category for a new project. The third module provides details of setting up a new project within a new EPS category within Enterprise Project Systems (EPS). The module also covers the process of developing a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of a new project. This is the most important step of a project before assigning any activity. The fourth module provides a detailed process of creating activities of a project. We have developed a civil engineering project program, so the activities are developed for a civil engineering project. The fifth module provides a detailed process of setting up the calendar of the project. Primavera provides global and project-specific calendar options. It would be very useful to know when to use what type of calendar. The module also explains how to assign a calendar to a project. The sixth module explains the process of setting the layout page of the project program. It explains how to set the columns for activities, the Gant chart and the activity area. you can also customise the layout for a specific project or for a specific user. The seventh module covers the process of linking activities in three possible ways. It also provides details of predecessor and successor linking. The module also explains the linking process in a specific constraint situation and shows how that impacts the overall project duration. In the end, a high-level project program is created to demonstrate the whole process of project planning using Primavera P6.
Read moreDrainage engineering is the Key Discipline to provide an efficient drainage system for any Infrastructure Project. In Road Projects, Drainage Systems are known as Sub-surface Systems and are designed to remove surface water from the road which would otherwise lead to flooding if not managed satisfactorily. The course modules provide detailed drainage system design process, Outfall Design, Network Modelling, Attenuation System Design and a brief overview of Sustainable Drainage Systems. Please see the Promotional Course Videos for a quick flavour. The first module covers the key components of Drainage Engineering, Drainage Strategy, Drainage Design, Outfall Design, Attenuation System Design. The second module covers drainage design process from the collection of surface water to discharge to the outfall locations such as existing watercourses. The module also covers the flood risk assessment process and Drainage Network Design, Gully Spacing, Kerb drains, and drainage modelling. The third module covers outfall design and Surface Water Storage System. The module covers Outfall types, Attenuation Ponds, Oversize Career Pipes and Flow control devices. The fourth module covers drainage standard details such as drainage kerbs, manholes, bus stop drainage kerbs, gullies, slot drains and Hydro-brakes.
Read moreA Project is an undertaking, carried out individually or collectively as a team to achieve a goal. Every company or firm carry out projects activities every day either properly or casually. Every project requires detailed project planning in order to run the project more effectively and efficiently. Project planning provides organizations with a framework for scoping projects, sequencing activities, utilizing resources, and minimizing risks. This is a basic course covering key concepts of project planning using MS Project as a tool. A hands-on civil engineering project program is developed and step by step process is explained for the student to learn how to plan, analyse, and manage projects. Students will witness state-of-the-art methodologies to develop the project program. In the first module, students will learn about the following topics -Launching MS Project, start-up window, quick access toolbar, Ribbons and Menu, Options settings, etc. The second module provides a quick process to develop a civil engineering project with key design tasks. The course then explains the key parameters of a task and how one task is linked with another task. Please click to see the Preview of the Course. In the third module, students will learn task dependencies. How the function like start to start or start to finish etc works. The course also provides details of task constraint in civil engineering project environment and how to incorporate that in the project program. The fourth module provides a detailed process of sub-task development and how to link those sub-tasks within the main task. The course develops a situation where a sub-task comes with a constraint and explain the process to deal with the constraint without impacting the project duration. The project belongs to a civil engineering environment so it would be very useful for a student to correlate it with real-time project scenarios. The fifth module provides a detailed process of splitting a task. This is extremely critical for a task if it needs to be delivered in phases due to interlinking with other tasks. The course also provides a process of task formatting to make it unique against other tasks to easily identify it. The sixth module details out the meaning of free slack in the program and its advantage. The module explains the process of how to utilise free slack in a project program to effectively add any new task without affecting the overall duration of the project. The seventh module details the process of resource allocation. In this module, resources are assigned for a particular task of a civil engineering project and team members of different grades are assigned to carry out a task. The process will assist the student to understand how to assign a time frame to all team members to complete a task. The eighth module provides a detailed process of optimising resources. By doing this, key members of the team could be free up for carrying out another project. This would help the project team to efficiently utilize limited resources at any given time.
Read morePreparing structure drawing is one of the most tedious tasks, to say the least, and when the structure is highly complex with plenty of structure details, that adds further complexities for CAD Technicians and Engineers. That’s why we develop this course and address various stages and procedures to develop Structure drawings using AutoCAD. The first module covers Introduction to AutoCAD and its basic interface. The module also shares all the details of the menu, command windows, pop-down windows and other operational details. The second module covers the basic setting of AutoCAD, basic functions, and interfaces. The third module explains how to use various toolbars in AutoCAD. Some toolbars are very useful for structure drawing preparation. The fourth module explains how to develop an architecture plan and develop each component of the plan layout. The fifth module is the continuation of architecture plan development and structure details development. The sixth module explains how to place columns in the building plan layout and then how to develop column layouts and associated details in the drawing. The seventh module explains how to place beams within the building plan layout and how to develop beam layouts and associated details in the drawings. The eighth module explains how to develop the Slab Layout of the building plan layout. The ninth module covers the shuttering layout development. The module also covers the foundation layout development. The tenth module covers the reinforcement detailing the process of beams, columns and slabs.
Read moreAutoCAD is classified as the utilization of technology to assist in the design, variation, optimization of a drawing layout. In this, we can generate both 2D and 3D drawings used in road and other infrastructure projects. To understand AutoCAD basics, you need to understand what it does: The software allows to make 2D or 3D models of a product (road, building, structures, etc). The Course Module provides step by step process to use Auto CAD from “Getting Started with CAD to various commands of operations to develop drawings and X-refs. First Module “CAD Basic” commences with a desktop icon to getting start window and then explains all the details of Menus, Tabs, Settings of CAD Window. Please click to see the Preview of the Course. The second Module provides details of using the command window and how to operate it. Then basic functions like zoom, pan, etc are detailed out. The third Module starts with drawings commands like “Arc” and “Circle”. It covers all the ways and means to operate these commands. The fourth Module covers the drawing command of “Polygon” and “Rectangle”. It provides all the ways to use these two commands in various situations. Please click to see the Preview of the Course. The fifth Module covers the drawing commands like move, copy and array. It provides a detailed process to use these commands and a combination of copy and array command too.
